Curiosamente, buscando en Internet una foto de un <strong>Jelly Roll<\/strong>, descubr\u00ed que la traducci\u00f3n literal ser\u00eda \u201c<em>Rollo de jalea<\/em>\u201d, que viene siendo un postre muy com\u00fan en Estados Unidos.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-thumbnail wp-image-112\" title=\"charm-pack\" src=\"https:\/\/www.laruecapatchwork.com\/mundo_patchwork\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/05\/charm-pack-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"charm-pack\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/>El <strong>Jelly Roll<\/strong>, b\u00e1sicamente, se trata de un grupo de tiras de 2.5 pulgadas cortadas a lo ancho de la tela, 1.10m, de una misma colecci\u00f3n. Estos rollos suelen traer 40 tiras y casi siempre todas ellas diferentes entre s\u00ed. Es decir, que con un <strong>Jelly Roll<\/strong> tendr\u00edamos un total de 2.5m de tela. Y el hecho de que las tiras vengan cortadas y combinadas todas entre s\u00ed, ya que son de la misma colecci\u00f3n, facilita el trabajo a la hora de hacer un <strong>quilt<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-114\" title=\"jelly-rolls\" src=\"https:\/\/www.laruecapatchwork.com\/mundo_patchwork\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/05\/jelly-rolls-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"jelly-rolls\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-115\" title=\"layer-cake\" src=\"https:\/\/www.laruecapatchwork.com\/mundo_patchwork\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/05\/layer-cake-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"layer-cake\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/>Es una t\u00e9cnica muy entretenida, ya que hay un mont\u00f3n de variantes para utilizar un <strong>Jelly Roll<\/strong>. La m\u00e1s b\u00e1sica de las t\u00e9cnicas consiste en coser las tiras de dos en dos y despu\u00e9s con la ayuda de la regla especial, que es en forma de tri\u00e1ngulo, las cortas por un determinado sitio y las vuelves a unir, formando al final un hex\u00e1gono. Aunque no lo parezca, esto es, y nunca mejor dicho, coser y cantar.<\/p>\n<p>Hay alguna que otra variante del <strong>Jelly Roll<\/strong>, como el <strong>Layer Cake<\/strong> y el <strong>Charm Pack<\/strong>.
